Raw intentGANNI RTW
Raw Intent, a proposed collection for GANNI, explores movement as a form of self-taught expression shaped by culture, environment, and necessity. Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat and hip-hop movement culture, the collection examines how style evolves through use, repetition, and instinct. The freedom of 1980s B-boy movement, where clothing prioritized durability and performance, is reinterpreted through contemporary Copenhagen life, where both women and men navigate the city by bike.
Silhouettes are designed to move with the body, and materials emphasize longevity, adaptability, and reduced impact. In alignment with GANNI’s commitment to circularity, the collection treats wear, repair, and repeated use as essential to the design process, framing sustainability as an extension of function rather than an afterthought.
