Raw intent

GANNI RTW

Raw Intent, a proposed collection for GANNI, explores movement as a form of self-taught expression shaped by culture, environment, and necessity. Inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat and hip-hop movement culture, the collection looks at how style develops through use, repetition, and instinct.

The freedom and functionality of 1980s B-boy dressing are reinterpreted through contemporary Copenhagen life, where movement through the city is part of everyday routine. Silhouettes are designed to move with the body, while materials focus on durability, adaptability, and reduced impact.

In response to GANNI’s approach to circularity, the collection treats wear, repair, and repeated use as part of the design process rather than an afterthought.

I developed the technical flats in Adobe Illustrator and rendered the final lineup by hand using acrylic paint and markers.
