BFA Collection

Gilded Faults began with my fascination with kintsugi, the Japanese practice of repairing broken objects with gold rather than disguising their history. I was drawn to the idea that wear, repair, and time can add value rather than diminish it.

That philosophy became the foundation of the collection. Each garment was developed through draping, hand manipulation, reconstructed textiles, and minimal-waste pattern cutting. Lace offcuts that might otherwise have been discarded were individually dyed, pieced together by hand, and accented with gold leaf, transforming overlooked fragments into one-of-a-kind textiles.

I wanted to explore what luxury can look like when clothing is designed to endure. For me, sustainability goes far beyond choosing lower-impact materials, such as the organic cotton French terry and bamboo jersey used throughout the collection. It also means creating versatile garments that can move with the wearer through different moments of her life, pieces worth caring for, repairing, and keeping.

Inspired by natural erosion and fractured landscapes, Gilded Faults finds beauty in what changes with time, celebrating craftsmanship, longevity, and transformation.
